Thank you, as I needed to both see and read this today.

You are most welcome. I know these days are not the same for everyone; social media can make it even more difficult with all the happy gatherings and mushy sentiments everywhere. I want everyone to know they are loved, have value, and that they matter in the world, even if their lives are not some cookie cutter, Hollywood version of perfection. <3

I was one of those children. Many years of healing were required to teach me how to love myself. Only then could I learn to love others. I love the concept of greeting cards that would cover these areas. Now that I'm in my 8th decade, I believe in possibilities-I'll send out this energy and hope someone picks it up.

Hmmm wouldn’t that be interesting. There are many things I am grateful that my mother taught me, but those cards assume too much.

Perhaps we should created them. Here’s an example:

Mom, you loved me in your own imperfect way. I see you. I understand the life experience you had. I promise you that my children will be raised the way we both deserved.

How about that?

Yes. Even picking out a card can be difficult for children who were not raised with love.
