Why did I start writing here?
I love to write. I love the act of a beautiful pen to paper or the clickety-clack of my keyboard; committing thoughts into words and sharing them. I believe in communicating tough stuff as well as victories helps other people feel normal about their own life path.
I have written lots of Facebook and received crickets in return which led me to decide that Mr. Z does not deserve my content. I cannot even recall how Substack found me; I can say that I love the idea of it, I have found loads of interesting writers with a plethora of topics that I am enjoying and I want to join in by contributing. (Oh, I also like the idea that a bunch of writers will not find me obnoxious if I use a big word here or there…)
What will I write?
I love all spiritual things and I also love science. I have spent a lot of time trying to find how they fit together, which seems to be getting easier all the time. When I teach Reiki to students, I speak about these findings. I would like to share what I have learned with a wider audience and perhaps this is a place to do that? We shall see.
Who is my audience?
The thinkers, dreamers, and inquisitive folk; those who are eager to contemplate, question, and respectfully offer counterpoints. I want responses to the things I write, not likes. I crave dialogue.
Spiritual people, healers, artists, and those who need healing are my people as well. I believe that words, when well written and conceived by the heart, can indeed heal the reader. I hope to write those words.
What are my goals?
I hereby commit:
To publish weekly to Substack
To write about life experiences with honesty and stop censoring myself
To create quality content about things that fascinate me, in the hopes of at least being interesting to my readers
To spell check for I detest sloppy writing, and to gracefully accept criticism if I miss something. haha!
If you are interested, please consider subscribing which will ensure I keep this fledgling Substack well-nourished with content.
Staying weird and being kind,
~~Patricia
