What has been going on?
February was a bit of a tough month for me, both my own mother and a very dear friend are going through medical challenges.
Self-care moments
· I have an exceptionally skilled massage therapist in Amanda McNaughton of AJM Fitness & Massage. One of the promises I made to myself is to go see her once a month to loosen up my body. She is highly skilled; a person who believes in continuous learning as well as educating me, her patient, about what I can do for self-care in between sessions for any of my problem areas. You know, the places we like to stack up stress… If you are in the Regina area, check her out; wherever you are, a good masseuse is an excellent investment in YOU!
· Every day, I do the practice of Morning Pages, ala Julia Cameron of “The Artist’s Way”. I write a minimum of three free form pages to dump my brain onto the page and begin my day free of junk. Full disclosure, these pages are supposed to be done within the first 45 minutes of rising; that doesn't always happen but more days than not I spend some time with my journal and pen. It is surprising how the answers to my concerns just pour out onto the page. I highly recommend this practice. TAW has more requirements than just the morning pages, but that is a good start. I am on day 370 of mostly consecutive writing.
· February 15th was International Sound Healing Day. I attended a Sound Bath here with the talented trio of Lee-Ann Hoepft, Krista & Buzzroc Apodaca of Tribal Vibes Wildfire Healing center. I was back on Friday, March 1st for a Soothe the Senses Assana event and will be heading there for a Crystal Bowl healing on March 22nd. I highly recommend finding something that will bring you back to centre, especially during the trying times of life.
What is happening in March?
· Reiki Level 1 training:
o Friday, March 15th from 1 – 5:30 pm (three spaces remain)
· Reiki Share Sessions: Sunday February 18th from 1 – 3pm was our first session, which I did not notice was a long weekend here. Two lovely students attended; we shared questions, recommendations, techniques, and stories, followed by a Reiki share where they traded the energy and were able to ask me any further questions while openly sharing what they were experiencing. It is fair to say ALL THREE of us learned from one another. Our next Reiki Share will be Sunday, March 17th from 1 – 3pm at my home. RSVP by sending me an email or shooting me a text to say you are coming.
· Podcast appearance: I was interviewed by the ever-curious Kathy Sabo for her podcast on CJTR 91.3FM here in Regina. Her show is called “get chatty with Kathy” and our talk will air on March 6th at 11am, again on March 8th at 9am.
Link to the YouTube video of the podcast is here.

My wish for you, as always, is that you learn to LOVE YOURSELF exactly as you are, right this minute. Accept yourself, forgive yourself for any perceived shortfalls, mistakes, or misdeeds. Know that every day you wake up is a chance to start anew and a day to be grateful for.
I love you!
Thank you for taking the time to make it to the bottom of my newsletter.
