What’s happening at Sparks of Healing?
February 2024
What has been going on?
January was a very full month for me; I wonder if it was that way for all of you?
I completed my time on the board of the RWN (Regina Women’s Network). I joined to help with their yearly Courage Wisdom Success symposium; this year’s focus was to raise community awareness about the growing issue of human trafficking. We watched the documentary Surviving Traffic by Saddvi Siddhali Shree and heard presentations from the filmmaker as well as from representatives of several local agencies and a survivor of human trafficking. It was an intense and emotional evening.
I learned a great deal about the problem along with meeting incredible people working at all levels of this problem. I plan to continue learning by way of the free certification in the Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking here.
I am not sure what my next steps are regarding this issue however I do know that I want to be fully aware so I can spot it and be a good witness wherever I can. What do I mean by a good witness? The police officer who spoke to us said, it is best not to try to be a hero but be an excellent witness; that means get a description, get a license plate, be discreet but thorough if you see a problem.
I am honoured to have met these amazing people and to have taken part in such an important symposium.
Self-care moments
After the heaviness of the topic, along with the vast amount of energy and time it took to put on the CWS event, I took some time for me. I slowed down and took time for self-care. I slowed down, read, wrote, and most fun I had a mediumship session with the fantastically connected Opie Kreft. She is a straight shooter who inspired me to take some time to myself and stop feeling guilty about it. I explained that I worry when things slow down at Sparks of Healing and she suggested I change that to the following:
What if what you need to do is nothing at all? What if you are in the exact right place to receive what is coming?
Wow! That was quite the thing to consider. What if life is slowing me down, even stopping me in place so that I am aligned to receive what life has in the works for me? I loved that. She provided lots more insight for me, the future of Sparks of Healing and what I need to do to ensure I am headed in the right direction, focused on the right things. I highly recommend her whether you are looking for a connection with a loved one who has passed or a clear direction for life in general. Even those who channel like me sometimes need to reach outside themselves to receive a course correction.
What I did during my time away.
In 2020, before The Great Pause, I went on a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii and had an interesting encounter with Pele. That story can be found here. At that time, I was told that I would write a book about love. It’s been four years, lots happened, however I have not published that book yet.
In January, I headed to the Dakota Dunes Resort for a three-day writer’s retreat with my dear friend Cari Moffet. I had an amazing experience there and made some progress with the book. I also took the time to capture a word count of the writing I have done for the book over the past four years and I have over fifty-six thousand words already written and stored. My job now will be to stitch the pieces together into a comprehensive collection. I hope to publish Being Love later this year; stay tuned for more as I have it to share.
What is happening in February?
· Reiki Level 1 training: There are two separate training dates for this introduction to Reiki on February 11th (two spaces left) and March 3rd (three spaces left). Click here to register or here to book a free 30-minute consultation about the class before you decide. These classes are all small, in person offerings held in the comfort of my home.
· Reiki Share Sessions: Beginning February 18th from 1 – 3pm and every third Sunday following, I will be offering Reiki share gatherings in my home. These are open to any of my Reiki students. The format will be a short teaching from me, followed by Q&A, and then practice with an opportunity to give and receive in groups.
Client experiences:
The power of hypnosis and the complexity of the human being never ceases to amaze me. I am grateful for every single client who trusts me to be their hypnotic tour guide, taking them to the places they need to go to do the work they need to do.
I recently did an exchange with another certified Simpson Protocol practitioner who lives in Prince George, BC where I recalled something my dad used to say to me all the time that was stuck in my subconscious and serving to limit my life today.
Be careful you don’t get too big for your britches.
This long-ago admonition was part of the thing holding me back from getting out there more often to tell people what I do in the hopes of finding even more clients to help with my services. We put that to rest in the session and the result will be that beginning February 10th – Lunar New Year, if not sooner, I will put out more videos about the work I do and my WHY – why do I choose to offer services for people. What is my hope for people?
I have had the privilege of taking clients on amazing journeys of their own this month including:
· One woman encountered an eagle in her sacred place who took her on a ride on its back through the mountains to give her a sense of the freedom she deserved and the power she possessed.
· One lady met with her brother who had passed when she was little to rectify something in her memory which resulted in in her receiving peace for herself and her brother being released in the spirit world to a much higher place, having now forgiven himself and made peace with something he did innocently but that a member of the church told them both with condemn them to hell for eternity. Whoa! That was an incredible release!
· Another client was shown the many times that they were used by others, setting their own hopes and dreams aside again and again for others. She felt the love that her team had for her and is now going to jet away to fulfil a major wish on her bucket list; filled with self-love and knowledge that she deserves to choose her experience and where to spend her time and money.
I have taken a number of clients on journeys with Sound Healing this month:
· One person found herself floating on the sound to a sacred forest, feeling the damp mossy ground under her bare feet, the embrace of the old growth forest, and walking towards a beautiful waterfall.
· A friend who is facing some health issues said the sound lifted her and she felt so much lighter and brighter as a result of her song.
· Another felt her ancestors coming forward to encourage her to seek out the wisdom of her heritage, something she had been thinking about but had yet to pursue.
I am absolutely thrilled to be a facilitator of these journeys whether they are on the waves of sound, the trance of hypnosis, or the love of Reiki vibrations.
I am able to work with people in person or online over Zoom. If you are ready to take a healing journey with me, please head over to book your session today.
My wish for you, as always, is that you learn to LOVE YOURSELF exactly as you are, right this minute. Accept yourself, forgive yourself for any perceived shortfalls, mistakes, or misdeeds. Know that every day you wake up is a chance to start anew and a day to be grateful for.
I love you!
Thank you for taking the time to make it to the bottom of my newsletter.
In Oneness,
Patricia (Patty) Meier
