Healers need time to heal

Sometimes we need to take a break, go inside and heal ourselves.

This doesn’t mean that your healing journey is over, it might just be that you need to press Pause for a while.

As healers, we forget that we also need the assistance of others, we need to turn our magick inside every so often to help ourselves.

Be gentle with yourself, reach out to someone you trust if you cannot get over this bump on your own.

I have definitely experienced the need to wrap myself in a warm blanket with a journal and do some reflection from time to time.

There are times where I needed the metamorphosis to melt right down into nothingness, only to find I am merged with much stronger wings, and could fly to much higher heights than before.

You are not broken; you are just getting ready for your next flight.

To love someone long-term is to attend a thousand funerals of the people they used to be.

The people they're too exhausted to be any longer.

The people they don't recognize inside themselves anymore.

The people they grew out of, the people they never ended up growing into.

We so badly want the people we love to get their spark back when it burns out; to become speedily found when they are lost.

But it is not our job to hold anyone accountable to the people they used to be.

It is our job to travel with them between each version and to honor what emerges along the way.

Sometimes it will be an even more luminescent flame.

Sometimes it will be a flicker that disappears and temporarily floods the room with a perfect and necessary darkness.
