What have I been up to?
In March I was interviewed by Shannan Mondor for her Fear Fighter podcast which will be aired on April 26. This podcast is all about people who have suffered trauma or addictions and come out the other side with lessons and a changed path in life. The topic of my interview was losing Alexandra and how that changed me to the very core. Shannan has overcome some huge challenges in her own life and seeks to show people that they are not alone in their life experiences.
The second week of March, I launched a loyalty program for sessions at Sparks of Healing. Clients who book five sessions in a year will get their sixth session free; of the same or lesser value. The program is retroactive from July 2022 forward. My spirit of intent is twofold:
I want to give back to the clients who trust me as their healing guide as well as make it easier for those who invest regularly in their mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.
People have asked me why are you giving away a FREE session? Why not just give a discount? There are two reasons that I want to give away every sixth session completely free*: The first is because I want to give back to clients who are making a solid investment in their personal growth, and secondly, it feels good to give back to clients who trust me to be the facilitator of their personal care package.
*Free sessions are equal to or less than the average of the previous five; client can also choose to take the average previous price off the cost of a regression session. This offer will be in place for all of 2023.
What’s next?
I will be attending the Natural Health and Healing Expo on April 15th & 16th at the Italian Club here in Regina; I will not be doing sessions this year, just selling books and speaking to people about hypnosis. My first ever book reading will be at 2:30pm on Saturday the 15th.
Upcoming Reiki classes:
Reiki 1st Degree: Sunday, April 23rd
Reiki Master/Teacher training: Sunday April 30th
Upcoming Hypnosis class:
Utopia Training taught by Jacquie Balogh: May 5-8th kickoff here in Regina. This is a 6-month certification course. Have you ever wanted to become a hypnotist? This course includes all you need to know to be a certified hypnotist in the Utopia protocol, including how to create your own scripts, conducting intake interviews, regular hypnosis, weight loss, and of course regression therapy including Past Life, Interlife, and Future Life protocols. Click on the link above to learn more and schedule an information session with Jacquie to learn if this is for you. She also teaches this course in a fully online format.
Last but not least, what is up with me personally?
I came across an interesting opportunity on Substack from Ali Vingiano of Little Things. She started a group to follow The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. I read Julia’s book in 1996 when I had three little boys running around. One of the key things in the book is something called The Morning Pages; these are three handwritten pages that you write every morning to just clear out your mind and open it to inspiration.
I eagerly joined the group and began my pages on February 7th. I am proud to say I have not missed a single day, completing a minimum of three pages consistently. This practice has had a marvelous effect on my state of mind, even improving my yoga practice. By the time I hit the mat to join Yoga with Adriene on YouTube, my mind is cleared of any chaff from the previous night and to-do lists for the upcoming day.
I work out problems on those pages and diffuse high emotions. Sometimes, I come up with inspiration for these virtual pages! It is fantastic!
The second key activity in The Artist’s Way is the artist’s date. The first time I attempted this practice, I thought the dates needed to be something monumental, like going to a museum or an art gallery. This time I am allowing myself way more latitude. Artist’s dates have been uncomplicated; indulgence in a cookie, purchased from a local tea house, a beautiful book, or an afternoon nap in the quiet of my treatment room… lying in a sunbeam on the plush carpet amidst the crystals, plants, and books.
This week’s date was a visit to a small plant shop where I adopted a tiny orchid that had been relegated to the 50% off shelf. <3
Life is good.
Why am I telling you this? I believe that taking the time to be with our thoughts promotes good mental health. Letting whatever is cluttering up the mind just flow out onto the paper can make seemingly unmanageable problems smaller. It can take the heat out of our anger and the sting out of our hurts. This has been my experience.
I hope you write.
Thank you very much for making it to the bottom of the page! I appreciate the gift of your time.
